I respect your position, and admire your sense of propriety. If I had ever been paid by the DoD I’d probably agree with you. But as a lifelong civilian he’s simply an employee to me, and he seems to have gotten confused about the nature of our relationship. I’d be pleased to remind him if he’s ever within earshot.
